The bill cleared a key hurdle early this morning after the president and House Speaker Mike Johnson persuaded a group of Republican holdouts to change their votes.
Among other things, the Senate legislation would also slap a tax on solar and wind projects that enter service after 2027 if they use components made in China.
The lawmakers said they're "deeply concerned" by some of the Trump agenda bill's provisions and called for changes to mitigate "significant disruption" to certain projects.
