Student parades celebrate holidays nationwide
Schools all over the country are preparing for their own Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in a celebration that opens the door for creative takes and balloons. St. Kevin Catholic Academy in Queens, New York is celebrating its second annual parade. The activity is generating buzz well outside of the Big Apple. Sam Brock has the story.

The Thanksgiving Day parade is only a few days away and with almost 5,000 costumes, the biggest challenge may be dressing hundreds of balloon-holders. Kimberly Montgomery has worked 26 parades and says the team has about 120 staff to help make the effort run smoothly. NBC News’ Joe Fryer got an early look behind-the-scenes.

Dramatic moments were caught on camera in Atlanta after a man having a medical episode behind the wheel crashed his car into a building.
